A range of provocative, contemporary cinema from Africa, Latin America and Asia have been lined up for the fifth annual Tri Continental Film Festival this September and October.

“Hairspray” is here

The remake of John Waters’ cult 1950s style musical "Hairspray' has mad an instant impact on the South African box office, reaching second spot in its opening week with R1.8m. "The Bourne Ultimatum' retains its top spot having amassed R5.9m to date.

The Bermuda International Film Festival is calling for entries for its 11th festival of world cinema, March 28-April 5, 2008. The entry deadline is 1 October 2007.

SA box office’s ultimatum
