Mark Gederman appointed Global Head of Marketing for Vizrt’s new Global Sports business unit


Vizrt, a world-leading provider of visual storytelling tools for media content creators, has announced that Mark Gederman has joined the recently formed Global Sports business unit as the Global Head of Sports Marketing.

In this role Gederman will lead the charge in defining and executing the Global Sports marketing strategy across all sports customers, and he will be instrumental in Vizrt’s marketing event activities, as well as with marketing content and offering to our worldwide sports customers. Three areas of initial focus will be to consolidate the digital marketing path for sports; to shape and further focus Vizrt’s sports solutions and offerings; and to prioritise monetisation initiatives around Vizrt’s virtual advertising solutions.

Gederman is a senior marketing executive coming to Vizrt from his role as director of Global Marketing for Sports at ChyronHego where he implemented strategic and tactical marketing campaigns, supporting sales activity across sports rights holders, teams, leagues, and federations.

Gederman has 30 years of experience in the broadcast and sports technology industry. Previous roles include marketing director at Grass Valley, as well as other positions at Avid Technology and EMC Corporation. His first job was in television production as a Broadcast Engineer and Producer.

Gederman will report directly to Stephan W. Stadler, President of Global Sports, and will be based in the Vizrt New York office.
