Ster-Kinekor’s new cinema complex in the West Rand will boast eight fully digitised big screen projectors, a luxurious Cine Prestige installation and sophisticated sound systems. Currently under development at the Cradlestone Mall, the new complex will open its doors at the end of October 2013. Of the eight digital projector screens at least two will be 3D screens.
The inclusion of an exclusive and luxurious Cine Prestige in the complex is due to popular demand. Like the successful installation at The Zone in Rosebank, Johannesburg, the Cradlestone Cine Prestige will feature large, comfortable seats that allow movie lovers to stretch out while watching the latest Hollywood blockbusters on the big screen.
There will be 56 spacious, single leather recliner seats and 17 double leather recliners, all with snack trays neatly fitted into them, for the perfect date night destination.

A few weeks ago, Ster-Kinekor’s lease at the Keywest Shopping Centre came to an end, having served Krugersdorp’s movie fans and film buffs for more than 12 years.

And, with the 1 288 seats, we are confident that we have catered adequately for the demand we expect at this new venue.
