Khumba, the new highly anticipated 3D offering from Triggerfish Animation Studios in Cape Town, starts screening in South Africa on 25 October 2013 and the movie’s teaser trailer is now available for viewing.
Khumba is a young half-striped zebra whose superstitious herd blames him for a sudden drought. Determined to find the waterhole where the first zebras got their stripes, Khumba sets out on a brave mission across the Karoo desert with a wildebeest and an ostrich for company, meeting foes and friends along the way.
Khumba had its international premiere at this year’s Cannes Film Festival in France and has been sold to 25 regions worldwide, including major cinema-going countries.
The movie is the second global hit for Triggerfish Animation Studios, following the release of 2012’s movie Adventures in Zambezia.
