The first images of Academy-Award winning actor Russell Crowe as Noah have been released. NOAH is an upcoming Biblical epic film directed by Academy-Award nominated Darren Aronofsky (Pi, Requiem for a Dream, The Fountain, The Wrestler, Black Swan) starring Academy-Award winner Sir Anthony Hopkins (Methuselah) and Academy-Award winner Jennifer Connelly (Naameh).
After receiving divine visions about the end of the world, Noah tries to tell his people to end their ill-treatment of the earth to be saved. No one listens to his warnings and Noah and his family are cast out to fend for themselves in the wilderness. Noah then approaches giant, six-armed angels known as the Watchers to support his cause.
NOAH also stars, among others, Logan Lerman as Ham (Noah’s son), Emma Watson as Ila (Noah’s adopted daughter), Ray Winstone as Tubal-cain (Noah’s nemesis) and Mark Margolis as Samyaza (a fallen angel).
The film releases worldwide in March 2014.
