Ken Kaplan and Anant Singh present Sleeper’s Wake, a new movie starring Lionel Newton, Akin Omotoso, Vatiswa Ndara, Amanda Lane, Carl Beukes and Erica Wessels. The movie, directed by Barry Berk and based on the novel Sleeper’s Wake by Alistair Morgan, releases countrywide on Friday 8 March.
The film is based on the “sleeper’ theory, which came out of a series of psychological experiments that proves that even ordinary people have a capacity for extraordinary cruelty. This “sleeper’ stirs when we are placed in situations that are either frightening or where we feel disassociated from reality. In many ways each character in the movie is “waking up’ to a certain reality.
