The Chasing Migada production Casting Me… , written and directed by Quinton Lavery, screens as part of the Cape Winelands Film Festival on 16 and 20 March at the V&A Waterfront Nu Netro in Cape Town at 5:45pm and on 17 March at the Oude Libertas Auditorium, Stellenbosch at 8:15pm.
Casting Me… lifts the led on all the funny things that can happen behind the scenes at a casting agency. It follows the adventures of Paul, a frustrated but likeable casting director who has dreams of finally making his own feature film. Paul’s girlfriend Chloe has broken up with him and he hates his job although he has great colleagues at the agency in Rueben and Janet. He lives in a flat with his friend, the gay computer nerd Nic. To get his life on track again and win back his girlfriend he decides to make a film about his job and love life.
