The 6th Annual Digital Broadcasting Switchover Forum (DBSF), which takes place at the Southern Sun Grayston Hotel in Johannesburg from 1 to 3 February, comes at an opportune time, when SADC countries have decided on the Digital Video Broadcasting-Terrestrial (DVB-T) standard for their digital migration.
Organised by the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation (CTO), the Digital Broadcasting Switchover Forum will examine progress towards a successful migration.
Some of the key topics under discussion will include: Policy and regulation on the digital broadcasting switchover; Funding the migration; Finding and deploying appropriate technologies; Building capacity for the migration; and Digital Dividend: seeing beyond 2015.
