No doubt buoyed by the phenomenal and unprecedented global box office success of his 3D film Avatar, James Cameron is to re-release his 1997 hit, Titanic, in 3D in April 2012.
The Los Angeles Times reports that Cameron will retrofit Titanic into a 3D format. Avatar was originated in 3D, unlike Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland, which was shot in 2D and converted into 3D in post-production.
