Top speakers at Loeries judges’ seminar


Four high profile international creatives from Argentina, London and Dubai will present their insights on the global brand communication industry at The Loerie Awards 2010 Judges Seminar, which takes place at the Hackle Brooke conference centre in Johannesburg on 20 August. The seminar takes place during Loeries judges week.

Advertising Chairman: Pablo Del Campo, CEO of Del Campo Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi, Buenos Aires and his team have received 31 Cannes Lions, 41 Clios and more than 200 Fiaps. Del Campo himself has also received the Konex Award for Excellence in Communications and is Argentina’s most awarded creative over the last 15 years and one of the advertising leaders of the Ibero-American region.

Argentina has been ranked third globally, for the fourth consecutive year, in the 2009 Gunn Report, and Del Campo Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi is listed as one of the top-five creative agencies in the world.

Communication Design Chairman: Greg Quinton, creative partner of The Partners, London and Chair of Education at the D&AD, has worked with The Partners for the past 20 years, contributing profoundly to the company’s success as the most consistently awarded agency in the United Kingdom. The agency was named the most creative company in Britain in Design Week’s 2009 survey and has topped the “All Awards’ chart for 11 years in its 20 year history.

Experiential Chairman: Colin Nimick, executive creative director of OgilvyOne, London has been a veteran at Ogilvy since 1987 and scooped numerous awards for his work done with American Express, Cancer Research UK and IBM.  His “Smoke is Poison’ campaign for Cancer Research received the acclaimed title of DM Campaign of the Decade by Campaign Magazine, and Nimick himself was titled No.2 DM Creative Director.

It was under the creative leadership of Jury representative: Shahir Zag, chief creative officer of Y&R Middle East & North Africa (MENA), that Y&R MENA has become the most awarded agency in the Middle East. He is also a founding member of the Creative Club, the region’s first industry association aiming to raise the overall standard of advertising in Dubai. His TV, print and multimedia campaigns have been awarded at Cannes, Clios, One Show, Dubai Lynx, London International Awards and the New York Festival.
