Now movie-lovers will be able to watch movies around the clock with Ster-Kinekor confirming that their 6 cinemas at Carnival City in Johannesburg will start screening movies 24 hours a day, every weekend, from next Friday 11 December.

Ster-Kinekor Group Marketing Executive, Michael Bender, says “it’s about innovation and giving our customers what they want. Carnival City is abuzz with weekend fun-seekers looking for a variety of entertainment options – and our research gives the 24-hour movie service a big thumbs-up with this audience.’

Midnight movie watchers who are struck by hunger in the wee hours of the morning have also been taken care of by Ster-Kinekor with a special “midnight delight’ catering offer of a Chaywa Coffee and muffins, in addition to the usual fare.

An additional three shows will be added to Ster-Kinekor Carnival City’s current line-up over weekends. Following the 22:00 shows on Fridays and Saturdays, the additional 3 shows are scheduled for 00:30, 3:00 and 5:30 every Saturday and Sunday morning.

“This bold step taken by Ster-Kinekor is an exciting new addition to Carnival City. Offering movies 24-hours a day just further strengthens the variety of entertainment options we would like to offer to our customers,’ explains Peter Hannah, General Manager: Ster-Kinekor Theatres.
