Francis Ford Coppola’s epic mafia saga, The Godfather (starring the late Marlon Brando), has been voted the top film of all time in a survey conducted by the UK’s Empire magazine.
The magazine polled 150 directors, 50 film critics and more than 10 000 members of the public to come up with a list of the top 500 films.
In second place was Raiders of the Lost Ark, followed by The Empire Strikes Back, Shawshank Redemption and Jaws.
