Rogue Element Films, the UK’s leading independent supplier of high end digital film services and now a successful production company, is to set up offices in Cape Town and Johannesburg, South Africa.

This follows the success of the feature film Skin, which was shot in Johannesburg with Rogue Element Films digital cinematography equipment and serviced by Moonlighting Films. The director is Anthony Fabian.

According to Rogue Element Film’s owner, Dan Mulligan, the growing need for the highest quality of filming equipment throughout the world has led to a massive increase in the company’s international operations and exposure. So expansion to South Africa was a logical next step. “With sophisticated high end post-production facilities, including the 2k resolution Christie cinema projector and the Quantel 4k Pablo suite, and more investment in new camera technologies coming up, the future looks very promising.”

Rogue Element Films relocated to Pinewood Studios, UK, earlier this year and has been involved in numerous projects including digital cinematography work for feature film, The Papyrus.

The company is also embarking on filming of the fourth BBC Drama series, Last of the Summer Wine 2009.
