Oscar-winning British filmmaker Anthony Minghella (The English Patient) has died, according to Associated Press. The cause of death was a fatal hemorrage after undergoing neck surgery.
The 54-year old director’s most recent film was The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency, produced by Amy Moore and shot in Botswana last year.
Other Minghella films include The Talented Mr Ripley and Cold Mountain.
