South Africans will recall how they were enthralled in the early 1990s by the UK TV series “Brideshead Revisited’ based on Evelyn Waugh’s novel of the same name. In the TV series Jeremy Irons played Charles Ryder and Anthony Andrews played the flamboyant Sebastian Flyte.

The casting was announced by HanWay, the U.K.-based international sales, distribution and marketing company, on Friday 10 February, Day 2 of the 2007 European Film Market.
HanWay is partnering with British production banner Ecosse Films, headed by Douglas Rae and Robert Bernstein, who will produce the script adapted by Andrew Davies and Jeremy Brock.
