WGA wants to talk
Variety.com reports that following the tentative agreement reached between the Directors Guild of America (DGA) and the Alliance of Motion Picture & Television Producers (AMPTP), the Writers Guild of America (WGA), on strike since 5 November, is wanting to hold informal talks with the AMPTP.

Studios back iTunes
Apple chief Steve Jobs announced at the MacWorld conference in San Francisco on 15 January that all major Hollywood studios will provide films for Apple’s iTunes movie rental service.
“Atonement’ gets 14 BAFTA nods
Golden Globe winner "Atonement', the British film directed by Joe Wright, has received 14 BAFTA (Orange British Academy Film Awards) nominations. The awards will be presented in London on 10 February.
