The feature film, Cuckold, by Charlie Vundla, has been invited to
screen as part of the official selection at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), which is taking place from 10 to 20 September 2015.

Cuckold examines the life and world of a young, black, Johannesburg-based professor consumed by alcoholism and drugs. After his wife leaves him for
another man, he is saved from self-destruction by a former school friend and
begins a journey to save his marriage, house and himself.

Charlie Vundla, who wrote, directed, produced and acted in the film, says, “It’s
amazing to have a low budget film like this, which is independent to the core and
very personal, get recognised by one of the most important film festivals in the
world.’

The film stars Vundlaas Smanga, with Terry Pheto as his errant wife Laura, and
newcomer Louis Roux, of the rock band Shadowclub, rounding out the threesome as
Jon.

Producer Jeremy Nathan says, “This is a great honour to be selected for the official
selection in Toronto (in the Contemporary World Cinema category), an A-list film
festival, in North America.’

The film will be distributed in South Africa by Indigenous Film Distribution.
