ArsenalFX, a visual effects, motion graphics and design studio specialising in global
commercial media and entertainment services, has completed work on a new
Samsung spot through client McKinney of North Carolina.
ArsenalFX provided Flame clean up and compositing for a new 30 second Samsung
spot, entitled “Jewels’. In the ad, viewers see a montage of new Samsung phones –
silver, black and gold – as they swirl against a background of sparkling, jewel-like
light reflections. The phones are seen from a variety of angles as they gently
revolve thru prism-like glitter.
Ashley Hydrick, ArsenalFX executive producer, said, “This spot was shot practically
with light reflections in camera using prisms and jewel tones. The trick with this
project for us was to do clean-up and compositing around the light flares, replacing
them to still look and feel realistic. Also the end tag (which looks like CG) was
actually stitched together in Flame using previous shots of the phones resized and
composited together in one shot.”
