Last Broken Darkness, a post-apocalyptic action film by DS Films and
The Karoo Film Company, has gone into pre-production in Johannesburg. The film
stars South African actors Sean Cameron Michael (24: Redemption;
Black Sails), Brandon Auret (Durban Poison;
Chappie) and newcomer Suraya Santos.
Director Christopher-Lee Dos Santos and his company DS Films will again partner with
Diony Kempen and Deon Meyer from The Karoo Film Company to present the film to
international audiences, as previously done with feature film Angel of the
Skies which released in over 25 territories, including the UK, USA, Europe and
Australia.
The Karoo Film Company recently acquired the film rights to Jacques Steenkamp’s
The Griekwastad Murders: The Crime that shook South Africa, while their
previous productions include Die Laaste Tango, Die Ballade van
Robbie de Wee and Alles Wat Mal Is.
