African content entertainment network, The Africa Channel, is screening Kenyan
feature film, Nairobi Half Life, to UK audiences.
Having received recognition from a number of international platforms such as the
85th Academy Oscar Awards, the African Movie Academy Awards, the Durban
International Film Festival (DIFF) and the 2013 Nashville Film Festival, the movie will
contribute to the channels Africa Picture House segment.
Directed by Kenya’s David “Tosh’ Gitonga and featuring DIFF Best Actor winner,
Joseph Wairimu alongside Kenyan actors Olwenya Maina and Nancy Wanjiku,
Nairobi Half Life tells the story of a young aspiring actor who travels to Nairobi,
determined to turn his dream into reality. Along the way he joins a gang run by
Nairobi crook Oti and takes his first steps towards becoming an adult.
