The chairperson and council of the Independent Communications Authority of South
Africa (ICASA) have issued a statement informing all stakeholders and the media of the
appointment of Pakamile Pongwana as the new CEO of the organisation, effective 1
November 2013.
Pongwana succeeds Themba Dlamini who completes his three-year term at the end of
October.
“The chairperson and council of ICASA would like to express their sincere gratitude to Mr
Dlamini for his contribution to the successful operations of the Authority during his
tenure. We wish him well in his future endeavours,’ reads the ICASA statement.
