SA’s Got Talent semi-final showdown

Broadcast on Tuesday 15 October on e.TV, the third and last semi-final round of SA’s Got Talent featured six acts competing for the last two spots in the finale.
Voting results air on Wednesday 16 October at 21h35 and will reveal who South Africans think is most deserving of winning the coveted R250,000 prize.

Judges Kabelo “Bouga Luv” Mabalane, Ian von Memerty and Shado Twala were impressed with the efforts and improvements of all the acts, and were relieved to place the voting process in the hands of SA audiences, who had until 22h00 on Tuesday to vote for their favourite performance.

Actor, acrobat and singer Lloyd opened the evening’s performances as his clown character, “Yello’, with a quirky aerial act that made the judges smile.

Dance group KDS followed, with a sizzling performance that incorporated the Pasodoble and the jive. The judges were impressed with the energy and passion of her performance.

Rhythmic gymnast Palesa Mohlamme set out to show more of her personality during her performance and the judges enjoyed seeing her having fun on stage.

The judges praised operatic singer Cindy-Anne for her precise execution of challenging high notes in a moving vocal performance that serenaded the audience.

Luzuko “Ludopie’ portrayed a story through his pop-and-lock dance moves in the dub step genre and the judges said that e had the potential to be a choreographer as well as an outstanding performer.

Young singer Nadia performed Somewhere Over the Rainbow and captivated the audience with a break-out vocal climax. The resounding audience applause mirrored the opinion of the judges who thought she delivered a stand-out performance.

The live finale of SA’s Got Talent airs on e.tv on Thursday 17 October at 19h30 and the results show follows at 21h00.
