The new South African, Afrikaans-language film, Jimmy in Pienk, will be released locally on 16 August by Indigenous Film Distribution. Written and directed by Hanneke Schutte, Jimmy in Pienk stars Tanya van Graan, Sean Cameron Michael and Gys de Villiers.
The film follows the adventures of Jimmy, a conservative corn farmer who is elated when his rich gay uncle offers him a way to save his farm from bankruptcy, the only problem being that he’ll have to bare his midriff and master the up-do.
Jimmy in Pienk was produced by Zaheer Bhyat of Light and Dark Films.
