This month, highly popular house deejay DJ Shimza joins Andy X and Miss Cosmo as a resident DJ on Channel O’s Bassment show, while Denise Kopano Zimba is the latest Vuzu presenter, joining presenters such as Lalla Hirayama, Thomas Gumede, Dineo Moeketsi, Fred Kayembe and Siyabonga Ngwekazi.
“Being able to make use of Bassment’s groundbreaking technology to mix videos back-to-back is a great opportunity for me and I can’t wait to give music fans a new experience,” says DJ Shimza, who is well known for his supreme sound work.
DJ Shimza has been wowing house fans worldwide from South Africa to the UK and the USA through live appearances and his recorded output. His charity event, DJ Shimza’s One Man Show, raises funds for projects in his own community of Tembisa on the East Rand in Gauteng.
Says Zimba: “I’m over the moon at joining the Vuzu presenter line-up. I have been given a great opportunity. It hasn’t been easy, but I am extremely grateful. I am aiming at bringing some real girl power to the channel and I can’t wait to become part of the lives of Vuzu’s amazing viewers.”
