The Presidency released a statement on 18 March noting that President Jacob Zuma has accepted the resignations of six more members of the board of the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC).
This follows the recent joint resignation of SABC board chair Ben Ngubane and his deputy Thami ka Plaatjie, which the President has also accepted.
The six resignations are: Lumko Mtimde; John Danana; Cedric Gina; Desmond Golding; Advocate Cawe Mahlati; and Noluthando Gosa.
According to the statement, the President thanked the outgoing board members for their contribution during their tenure and requested the Minister of Communications, Dina Pule, to liaise with the National Assembly regarding the process to fill the board vacancies.
