Andrea Bocelli, regarded as the world’s most beloved tenor, makes his cinema debut on Valentine’s Day this year.
His new concert, Love in Portofino, releases for a limited time from 14 February at cinemas worldwide and screens exclusively at select Nu Metro cinemas in South Africa.
The new film starts its run as Bocelli releases his new studio album, Passione, which was recorded in August 2012.
In Love in Portofino, Bocelli covers the most famous love songs in the world. Apart from a dazzling ensemble of supporting talent on instruments and vocals, Bocelli’s fiancee Veronica Berti joins him for a duet of the classic tug-at-your-heartstrings song, Something Stupid. Bocelli is backed up by a 40-piece orchestra and rhythm section.
