Three Afrikaans-language films made the Top 10 of the South African circuit on the weekend of 12 to 14 October. New release Stilte (40 prints) made the number seven spot with R295,235.
Wolwedans in die Skemer (47 prints) made the number three sport with just over R1m. Its cumulative box office after two weeks of release is R2.1m
In the number 10 spot over the weekend was Die Wonderwerker (21 prints) with R272,487. After six weeks of release the film has made just over R5m.
The top earner over the weekend was new release Taken 2 (69 prints) which made R3.2m. It was followed by the animated Hotel Transylvannia (including 3D) (77 prints) with R1.2m.
