Durban-based Sean Wisedale has joined a crew from The Unlimited as they embark on the Ski the Last Degree South Pole expedition in Antarctica.
This expedition will coincide with the centenary celebrations of Captain Robert Scott’s legendary trip.
Wisedale will film and photograph Nzuzo Mnikathi and the Unlimited’s team as they manhaul (ski with sleds) to the South Pole to raise awareness for “The Unlimited Child’ (www.theunlimitedchild.co.za) and to raise funds for educating underprivileged children.
Wisedale is the first person from Africa to achieve the “Seven Summits’, a unique mountaineering prize consisting of summiting the highest mountain on each of the seven continents. In addition he has produced a series of eight broadcast documentaries.
