Rosebank Cinema Nouveau has teamed up with renowned film critic Barry Ronge to host a special pre-release screening of Hollywood blockbuster, The Ides of March, on 11 December 2011.
Based on the play Farragut North by Beau Willimon, this political thriller is directed by the famous and talented George Clooney and stars the director himself along with a dream cast comprising Ryan Gosling, Paul Giamatti, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Evan Rachel Wood, Marisa Tomei and Jeffrey Wright.
Idealistic deputy campaign manager Stephen Myers (Ryan Gosling) falls prey to backroom politics, the treacherous manipulations of veteran operatives and seduction by a young intern (Evan Rachel Wood) while working for Governor Morris (George Clooney), a candidate running in the presidential primary race for the Democratic Party ticket.
This event is now open for bookings at Cinema Nouveau in Rosebank, and will start at 5pm. The screening will start at 5:45pm. Guests will be treated to a light snack before the screening and there will be giveaways on the evening.
