Bookings are now open for the first ever 3D Bollywood title, Ra One, which will release at Ster-Kinekor Theatres on 28 October, just in time for Diwali. A proudly South African Bollywood film, Pyaarajnabee Hai (Love Is A Stranger), also releases in theatres in November.
Ra One, directed by Anubhav Sinha, stars Bollywood heartthrob and superstar, Shah Rukh Khan (SRK), in a larger than life sci-fi blockbuster which tells the story of a father (SRK) trying to mend his relationship with his teenage son by trying to fit into his cooler-than-cool world. In the midst of this back and forth of a dad trying too hard and a son wanting to ‘dude-up’ his dad’s level of cool, mom (Kareena Kapoor) seems to be lost in translation between the two.
Just when the father-son duo hit a deadlock – Khan strikes gold when he designs an interactive computer game unlike any other. But as much as the coolness factor counts in his favour, the family is soon thrown into a world beyond reality when the game that was meant to be played, starts playing them.
Besides mind blowing graphics, Ra One features a soundtrack which includes the hits single Chammak Challo and also features hip hop sensation, Akon.
Ster-Kinekor Gateway, The Zone and Arcades will be releasing a 2D version of the Ra One on Wednesday 26 October.

Broken Promises 3, the 3rd part of the popular Durban-based series, releases at Ster-Kinekor Theatres on 25 November, and continues to explore the possibilities of different relationships, and unexpected developments in households, but with past characters returning, and new ones joining the cast, expect loads of comedy and excitement.

Shah Rukh Khan and Farhan Ahktar are back with Don 2, one of the most eagerly-anticipated movies of the year, opening at selected Ster-Kinekor Theatres on 23 December.
Having conquered the Asian underworld, Don (Khan) now has his sights set on European domination, but in his way are the bosses of the existing European underworld and the law enforcement agencies. The action shifts from Kuala Lumpur to Berlin as Don must avoid assassination or arrest, whichever comes first, in order for his plan to succeed.
Don 2 features a stellar support cast including of Priyanka Chopra and Lara Dutta and a superb soundtrack.
