Leon Schuster’s new movie will be partly financed by the Walt Disney Company, who will also be handling the distribution and marketing, according to Channel 24.
Schuster has called it the biggest breakthrough of his career. The film, which will star Schuster, Kenneth Nkosi, Alfred Ntombela and Tanit Phoenix, started production this week and is inspired by the Jamie Uys movie Hans en die Rooinek.
The involvement from Disney is reportedly a move to confirm the company’s support for the local entertainment industry.
