Advanced Television reports that 67.6 million TV viewers in India watched the final match of the ICC Cricket World Cup in which India beat Sri Lanka.
This is a record number of viewers, the previous best being the 67.3 million viewers who watched the semi-final match between India and Pakistan.
The finals were telecast on ESPN Star Sports network’s Star Cricket and Star Sports channels along with terrestrial statecaster Doordarshan.
