Six projects selected from over 100 submissions from around the world have been chosen for the “Fresh Talent Pitch” at MIPFormats, the pre-MIPTV formats conference and pitching showcase which takes place on 2 and 3 April in Cannes, France.
The selected projects are: Bus Stop (P52TV/Spain), Crossword is Coming to Town(SEO Entertainment GmbH/Germany), Dracula Tour Challenge (Small World IFT/USA and Media Factory/Romania), My Baby’s Name (Little Nemo/France), On the Name of Love (Newen/France), and Queen of Style (Notorious Entertainment GmbH/Germany).
These finalists will have the opportunity to pitch their programme concept to a live audience filled with buyers, commissioners and distributors from the international formats industry, during a pitching session on Saturday 2 April. The winner will get a chance to spend quality time in Cannes with jury members David Lyle, Annie Wegelius and Colin Jarvis, to fast track their project internationally. The MIPFormats “Fresh Talent Pitch” is organised in association with Entertainment Master Class and The Wit.
MIPFormats will see All3Media CEO, Steve Morrison, deliver the closing keynote on Sunday 3 April. In presenting his keynote entitled “Innovation, Expansion and Hybrids: Pushing the Format,’ Steve Morrison will consider the creative and commercial challenge of building global format brands.
