The tale of two Jedi knights uncovering a wider conflict when they are sent as emissaries to the blockaded planet Naboo will come to the big screen in 3D in February 2012.
George Lucas, creator of the hit Star Wars franchise, has decided that his 1999 film, Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace is ideally suited to the 3D format.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Lucas’ company Industrial Light & Magic is supervising the 3D conversion, with an eye for both technological considerations and artistic intentions.
