Football fans will be pleased to learn that there could be more coverage in the future on the beautiful game on SABC. The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) and the South African Football Association (SAFA) met to negotiate broadcasting rights on Thursday 13 January. The meeting involved discussion of a new agreement that will replace the current one which expires on 31 March 2011.
The SABC reports that both parties agreed to put together negotiation teams that will meet on a weekly basis with the bigger team meeting bi weekly. The two parties have also agreed to work together in pre-inspection teams before the games, starting with the match in Rustenburg in February 2011.
