DVD piracy is an ongoing battle for feature film producers but the Internet is also undermining revenue streams. A rough cut of unreleased Boolywood movie Tera Kya Hoga Johnny was leaked on the Internet. The film was to open in Indian cinemas mid year but this week it found its way on to YouTube.
It has been estimated that Bollywood loses up to $400 million annually in revenue from illicit Internet exposure of films prior to theatrical screenings.
