Viewers of the grand finale of Survivor China broadcast on SABC3 on Monday, 31 August were deprived of the last 15 minutes of the show due to a scheduling error. The rectified version will be broadcast on Sunday, 6 September from 14h00 to 16h30.
The SABC issued the following statement on 1 September: “Due to last night’s scheduling glitch, SABC3 management would like to express its sincere apologies to our valued viewers for the unintended exclusion in the broadcasting of the last 15 minutes of Survivor China.
“The Survivor China episodes have always been scheduled as seven segments and last night’s episode (because it was a special broadcast) came in as eight segments. The individual who scheduled this unintentionally omitted the last segment. Internal procedures are being followed in addressing this matter,’ explains Mathe Mosito-Okaba, SABC3 General Manager.
