The second season of Countdown 2010 has been rebranded with a new and dynamic look that reflects South Africa’s hosting of next year’s FIFA World Cup.
A studio environment has been introduced as a 2010 ‘nerve centre’ of the series, which screens on SABC1 on Tuesdays at 6.30pm. Situated at SAFA House, it places the show in the very heart of the 2010 Organising Committee, and illustrates that Countdown 2010 truly is the definitive World Cup preparations show.
Hosts Lebo Motsoeli, Fezile Makhanya and Eugene Khoza return to guide viewers through the action-packed show. Motsoeli anchors the show from studio whilst Makhanya tackles the more serious side of 2010, from the street and in the boardroom. Khoza each week embarks on a challenge that places him at the very grass roots of 2010 preparations and engages with the public at large.
Countdown 2010 is positioned as “The ultimate World Cup insider unpacking the fabric of 2010”.
