The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (the Authority) will convene hearings on Commissioning of Independently Produced South African Programming in terms of Section 4(6) of the Electronic Communications Act of 2005.
The Authority published a discussion document on Commissioning of Independently Produced South African Programming in Notice No 31580 on the 7 November 2008. The closing date for submissions was the 28 January 2009. The Authority received nine (9) submissions and seven (8) indicated that they are interested in making oral presentations.
The hearings will be held as follows;
Date: 23 – 24 February 2009
Venue: BLOCK C PRESENTATION ROOM
Duration: One hour for each presentation with 30 minutes allocated to presentation and 30 minutes for questions.
