A set of postage stamps featuring original cover artwork from six James Bond novels have been issued in the UK to commemorate the 100th anniversary of 007 author Ian Fleming’s birth.
The novels featured on the stamps are “Dr No’, “Casino Royale’, “Goldfinger’, “Diamonds are Forever’ and “From Russia With Love’.
The British Royal Mail stamps were launched by actress Samantha Bond, who played the Miss Moneypenny character in the Pierce Brosnan Bond films. During the launch, the actress stood next to an Aston Marin DB6, the classic car used by Bond in “Goldfinger’, “Thunderball’ and “Goldeneye’.
