In an announcement that will hugely disappoint her legion of fans worldwide, comic and Oscar-winning actress Whoopi Goldberg (“Ghost’, “The Player’, “The Colour Purple”) has said that she is to henceforth concentrate solely on her broadcasting career and will no longer take acting roles.
Goldberg is currently host of the long-running Emmy Award-winning daytime talk show “The View’, having replaced Rosie O’Donnell in her recent and much publicised exit. After starring in 40 films, Goldberg says she never get scripts anymore.
In addition to winning an Oscar, Goldberg has also won two Golden Globes for acting as well as a BAFTA Award. She was also arguably the most memorable host ever of the Oscars on two occasions. (Source: Studio Briefing)
