Film producer Johan Heyns of Fevertree Productions was shot in the pelvis by an intruder at his Bryanston home in the early evening of Sunday 23 September.
He was admitted to the intensive care unit of a hospital in northern Johannesburg. Heyns was hit in the left side of the pelvis and his bladder was also damaged by the bullets.
Die Burger has reported that Heyns was able to walk for the first time on Tuesday this week.
His wife Sue Heyns said she did not know how the men gained entry to the house. Fortunately, tenants on the property were able to alert the police and security guards when they heard gun shots.
