The Schools Literature Arts Organisation (SLAO), a non-profit organisation plans to shoot a Public Service Awareness (PSA) video at the end of October and the first week of November. The video for disabled people, Tears for Sorrow, aims to educate the community about people living with a disability and to close the gap between disabled people and those who are not disabled. The video will also aim at building the self-esteem of disabled people.
SLAO’s objectives are to promote the culture of learning and writing skills; to fight crime and drugs; to build self esteem; and to expose young people to various career choices including film and television production.
Due to budgetary problems, SLAO has called for crew volunteers for the making of the PSA video. They require a video camera operator, boom swinger and continuity.
