It was with sadness that Screen Africa learnt of the death of the revered stage and screen actor Bill Flynn on Wednesday 11 July.
Flynn, 58, was highly respected amongst the acting fraternity. His career included leading roles in more than 140 stage plays, 42 films, TV shows and TV commercials. His most recent film roles were in Heel Against the Head and Running Riot.
According to a Sapa report he won 13 best actor awards, including the Dublin Critics and Golden Entertainer Awards. His film writing also won him a Best Screenplay award for Saturday Night at the Palace.
