Concilium Technologies has been appointed as the reseller in Southern
Africa for Harris’s Broadcast Communications Division, bringing together
such well established brands as Harris, Leitch, Videotek and Inscriber under
a single sales and support organisation.
Concilium will represent Harris Broadcast Communications Division product
lines that include the Leitch routing and distribution equipment, signal
processing, servers and storage area networks, post-production editing
systems as well as Videotek signal management and monitoring. The product
portfolio also includes the Inscriber range of graphics and branding
software and Harris software solutions for automation, traffic and billing –
all of which are complemented with premium customer support
Guy Elliott, director of regional sales, EMEA for Harris’s Broadcast
Communications Division comments, “We were looking to consolidate our
business in southern Africa through a single partner with a proven track
record in this business. It was crucial for Harris to work with a partner
like Concilium, as they have the breadth of experience to support the
comprehensive product range that Harris has to offer. We look forward to
working with Concilium to build our business and brand further in this
region.”
According to Steve Alves, MD of Concilium Technologies, Concilium has a
proven track record in the broadcast industry in Southern Africa for
providing “real solutions, real alliances; a philosophy and practice that
goes well beyond just the supply of hardware and software to providing
robust, well supported local solutions.
“Honouring this commitment requires continued investment in local skills
through training and close relationships with our chosen suppliers.
Our alliances with suppliers are equally as important as the alliances
with our customers to ensure we deliver on all of our commitments. As Harris
is one of the largest players in the broadcast market today, they bring
stability, continuity and reassurance to what has been a somewhat unstable
and volatile landscape over the last year,” comments Alves.
According to Alves, Harris is committed to the broadcast industry and is
focused on helping customers succeed as they transition to the digital media
world. Through acquisitions and internal development, Harris has become a
world-class provider of Total Content Delivery solutions, which cover all
phases of creating, managing, and delivering digital media.
To kick off this new partnership, Concilium will be hosting a series of
presentations as part of Harris’s highly successful EMEA HD Roadshows. The
venues and times will be announced shortly.
