News Corp’s MySpace.com which was acquired last year for about $650 million plans to begin offering $1.99-an-episode downloads of Fox drama “24”. It also will offer free downloads of two episodes of “24” sponsored by Burger King Holdings. The move is part of an effort by News Corp. to transform MySpace.com from a social-networking site into a full-featured, advertising-supported portal.


MySpace has exploded in popularity, amassing more than 75 million registered users. News Corp’s MySpace downloads is aimed at generating revenue from its huge audience.
