Avid Technology has appointed Jeff Rosica as its new chief executive officer (CEO), effective immediately. This follows the termination of the employment – by the Board of Directors – of former CEO Louis Hernandez, Jr.
Hernandez’s employment was terminated, effective immediately, due to “violations of company policies related to workplace conduct”. Additionally, Hernandez resigned from his position on the Avid Board of Directors and Nancy Hawthorne has been elected as chairman of the board.
New CEO, Jeff Rosica has been with Avid since early 2013 and brings with him more than 30 years’ experience in broadcast, media and entertainment. Rosica has previously served within the company as senior vice president, chief sales and marketing officer for the company.
