Registration for film selection under the 25th edition of the African film biennial event FESPACO, due to take place 25 February to 4 March 2017, is now open.
Two sections are being considered:
Official competition section, open to films by directors from Africa and Diaspora. This section includes the following categories:
Fictional feature films: minimum length of 60 minutes;
Fictional short films: between 1mn and 35 minutes;
Documentary films: minimum length of 26 minutes;
TV serials: three episodes of 13 to 26 minutes each;
Films from African Cinema Schools: between three to 15 minutes.
Out-of-competition section, open to films by filmmakers worldwide.
Only films not exceeding two years of age by 31 December 2016 will be considered.
Registration package must include the following materials:
– Completed entry form;
– Technical and artistic sheet of film;
– Short French and English synopsis of film; and
– Two (2) DVDs of film.
Deadline for registration is 31 October 2016.
