SGL, a provider of content archive and storage management software for media and entertainment, is further expanding its next-generation Infinity development team with the appointments of Richard Heap as development projects manager, Richard Stone as FlashNet Infinity QA and Simon Locke as a FlashNet Infinity developer.

FlashNet Infinity is SGL’s next-generation, simple-to-navigate archive interface. It provides users with a control centre, adding greater sophistication and flexibility to the FlashNet archive management solution. The new team will be instrumental in developing the software to provide endless archive possibilities for organisations of any size. Richard Heap, who heads up the team, joins SGL from the Collinson Group, he has 15 years’ management experience and in his previous role led a team of developers to provide quality systems for internal and consumer use. Heap has also held technical lead and development manager roles at Autotrader. Highly experienced QA engineer Richard Stone joins SGL from online fashion retailer ASOS.com where he worked for eight years as QA analyst and lead QA engineer. Completing the team is Simon Locke, who most recently held the role of software consultant at Anritsu Test & Measurement where he single-handedly developed software for a client-server based resource management system.

“2016 has been an exciting year for SGL as we launched our new dashboard, FlashNet Infinity,’ says Bernie Walsh, SGL’s manging director. “I’m delighted to welcome the new team and to announce further updates to FlashNet Infinity over the next six months. IBC is just around the corner and we are looking forward to demonstrating the system to our European customers.’
