StarSat, a digital satellite TV provider by On Digital Media, has announced two new
channels available on the platform: edutainment channel Da Vinci Learning and kids
channel Pop.
Ian Woodrow, head of content at StarSat says, “We are excited to be adding both
these channels to our platform. It will create an environment where family
members can watch, learn, discuss and most importantly have fun together. We
expect Da Vinci Learning channel to become a valuable learning tool for our viewers
and Pop to become the central place for family time while having fun.’
Da Vinci Learning (channel 308), features award winning educational series and
documentaries which aim to provide inquisitive minds of all ages with captivating
learning experiences. Carefully selected program schedules will cover everything
from physics and chemistry, to history, nature and ancient civilisations.
Pop (channel 302) is a 24 hour kids channel, targeted at youths aged four to nine.
The channel hosts a fun line up which includes comedy, exploration, invention, art
and “make and do’s’. While offering an educational undercurrent the channel aims to
uphold a positive feel and deliver a fresh and diverse mix of shows. Veiwers can
look forward to international titles such as: Power Rangers,
Sally Bollywood, Transfomers, Franklin and
Friends and more.
